Fluorescent Bulbs: Will they burn my glass globe light fixture if the bulb is touching the globe?

I have one of those matches unadorned glass globe light (where the globe is supported by 3 screws) hanging from my ceiling and I just unwavering replace my old 60W conventional bulb with a 23W fluorescent bulb.
You have nothing to worry because the fluorescent bulbs are cool to the touch. The reason for this and there are economies of vividness is that they are much more efficient at converting electricity into light.
